I received a call from 207-486-4595 and there was an automated female voice that said they were calling to reduce my credit card interest rates. They said to press "1" to be connected to an operator to lower my interest rate or press "2" to discontinue further notices.

I have received a call from these same scam artists before, so I decided to have a little fun and pressed "1". I also began recording the call for evidence. I was connected to a guy named "Eric".  He came on the line and made reference to all of the people he had been helping to reduce their credit card interest rates. He also said that he helped about 200 people yesterday but about 60 of them did not qualify (this is a scam tactic).

He asked for my Visa or MasterCard information info and my full name. I told him that I would not discuss that until I confirmed his company info and I asked what their web site address was. He said they are in Florida and all over the place (even though area code 207 is for Maine and part of Quebec).

He said that they are called Consumer Services and also referred to them as Card Services. I again asked him to give me the URL or specific web address so that I could see their web site. He said that he wasn't sure what that was because it was his first day, so then I asked him about the 200 people he said he helped yesterday. He back peddled and gave me some lame excuse about it was his first day training people and his actual first day or some crap.

He then asked to put me on hold so that he could get that web info. He never came back on the line...

Hi, I had the same experience.  As I am on a no call list, I too decided to have some 'fun'.  Caller ID showed 207-464-6835.  I pressed 1, asked name of co and was told "Card Services".  I then said I am on no call list and demand to be removed from their list.  The guy said, "How's that working out for you."  I said not well because they called me.  He corrected me and said I pressed 1 so I called them.  This guy was rude and completely unethical.  I want to go to BBB but don't know anything else about the co.  When I called back the number I got a residence and the man said he keeps getting calls and he has nothing to do with that number or co.  I assume they hijacked his number and are using it.  It's a shame that people have nothing better to do with their lives than be rude [***] over the phone.

Same as the others, except now they are using the number 207-422-4207. I asked to have my number removed and they put me on eternal hold.
