Also report the violations of do-not-call lists to the FCC.  They take it very seriously (they already fined AT&T millions of dollars for this issue).

I got the Disney vacation message. I wanted to report them to the Feds since I'm on the No-Call List, so I held on and waited to speak to an operator. He asked my name. I didn't give it; I asked what his company name was. He asked if I was ready to write it down, then he said, "It's G-O-F-U-C-K Yourself." And he hung up.

Amusing but telling. So I searched for the caller ID number on the Web and I found this thread. Good stuff, gang.

I received a called from this # (207-412-1069). It was a auto-dial and a recorded message that stated customer service wanted to lower my credit card interest rate. It did not state my name or what company. It cue to dial one if I wanted a lower rate. I hit one and a man said "Customer service may I help you". I asked what was the offer. He said "Customer service may I help you". I then said that the recorded message offered a lower rate on my credit card, but did not say from what bank. I told him I was interested in the offer, so explain away! He hung up. Ironically they choose the wrong household, my spouse and myself do not use consumer credit cards. Reading the other post about this # it is clear to see this organization was 'phishing' for information looking for folks silly enough to give there account # to 'customer service'.
Dialing the # gave a fast busy signal.

Like everyone else, I got this telemarketing scam call today about reducing my credit card rate to 6%.  It appears to be a phishing scam operation.

On 2-6-08 Congress passed two bills to make the Do Not Call list permanent, rather than requiring people to re-register every 5 years.  President Bush would be wise to sign this into law as soon as possible.  Please contact him to support his signing these bills into law.
