Keep getting calls from this number stating that they got a fax claiming that I committed fraud and I will be served in my county. When calling this number they mention no company name, also I noticed that they are using various telephone numbers. I have not committed any fraud but I myself was a victim of fraud from a man claiming to be in the US Army and caused me to lose money almost causing me my health and losing my home. Spoke to some family and friends and they said this same number has been calling them as well and it's this/these phone numbers are the ones who are fraudulent. How do we stop these aggravating calls? I started getting them approximately two/three weeks ago. All it says on caller ID is Portland ME no company name.

Faxes, phone calls & emails are NOT considered to be official notification of debt.  Demand written proof of the "problem" that is mailed to you.  Otherwise --ignore!

It is also illegal to discuss matters with a third party - family & friends.  Report them to your state attorney general's office.

Thanks for your help. Also getting several other calls from numerous phone numbers claiming the same thing. My belief is it's the same people using different phone numbers.Also when calling they just answer with "please hold and the next available operator will be with you" and when that person comes on just says "how can I help you" again no name!! Sick of getting these annoying calls! Thanks again for your help.

Yes - these frauds spoof (fake) phone numbers.  Their scam  line is always the same.

7024457777 here is another phone number believing to be fraud that just started calling me, again no one mentioned a company name when calling back but caller ID shows it to be Vegalo DBA Fron never heard of them before. How do we stop these aggravating calls??!!
