Spoofed phone number. Appears as a local call but is not. One of those dirtbag scammers who call and ask for the owner by first name in an attempt to fool person answering that caller is a good friend. The second you say they are not in, *CLICK*. No legit caller does this.

Yup, this is a spoof number. The one i got was a tool salesman either from California or Texas, not sure which one this time. He starts by saying "Hey (first name), how ya doin today". Then says " ya recognize the voice"? this is a dead giveaway for meas i have gotten these calls before. I recognize who he is but say that i do not recognize his voice. He states "this is John, the tool guy from Industrial Tools, how we doin today"? Then it continues something like this:
I don't need anything from you today.
   I didn't ask you if you needed anything.
Well, i don't want anything from you either. In fact I have told you several times to stop calling me. i don't want anything you have to offer.
   You never F*****g told me to stop calling you! You never told me a GD thing!
Well, if this is the way you talk to your customers then I DEFINITELY do not want anything from you, ever! Stop calling me!
I hung up on him as he was spewing some more vulgarity. What an idiot!  

I answered the call from this number.  The person asked for my husband by his first name.  I asked who was calling.  He said Jason.  I asked what business he was representing.  He said "I told you I was Jason and you're a F***ing rude B*tch."  I called the number back and got " the person you are trying to reach is not available."  

I've only answered this number because it is in our area code (Spoofed).  He tries to create the impression that he is a friend and tried to get my husband's cell number.  He talked fast & loud in order to make himself not easily understood.  Told him that I couldn't make out what he was saying because he was shouting. He hung up.  Hoped I cold waste more of his time and spare someone else from this scammer.
