Call received 12/9/15 at 10:18am from Seattle, WA. Recorded message left: FROM THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT OF INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE. THE NATURE AND PURPOSE OF THIS CALL IS TO INFORM YOU THAT IRS IS FILING A LAWSUIT AGAINST YOU. CALL IMMEDIATELY ON OUR DEPARTMENT NUMBER, 206-973-7887. I REPEAT, 206-973-7887. THANK YOU. (female voice)
I know this is a scam. It is beyond cruel. I do not answer these calls. But, two of my family members have already been terrified by them. One is very elderly. The other had good reason to believe it really was the IRS calling, since her relative is a criminal. Like I said, these people are beyond cruel. They are the criminals. Please, don't ever answer these calls and block them if you can. Beyond that, I'm not sure what we can do except educate everyone we know and care about that has a phone. Thanks for listening.
