Received a message saying that there was a criminal investigation on a social security number and left this number to call back.  When I called back there was just an answering machine saying to leave a message.  Person leaving the message had a heavy asian (?) accent.  Said they were with the criminal investigation dept of the IRS.

Got the same number to call and same scenario. No response. Just Mr Victor Sang from the Criminal Investigation Department.

Ditto -- because my # is blocked, the call was refused.

1.  If the IRS determines that a criminal warrant is justified, they issue them via Federal Court and execute them via enforcement agents locally, not via an automated phone call.
2.  They accept all calls, as they use an electronic pen system to identify the caller, blocked or not.
3.  To my knowledge, they never finish calls nor correspondence with have a nice day.
4.  The agent always identifies him or herself with their badge number.
5.  They always provide z toll-free number.

Just hit 'Delete' after listening to this crap.

Same thing, just got a call

Received a call on my home phone about noon and on my cell phone a couple of hours later leaving a message. Asking me to call. The call came from Seattle, Washington Area, identified as "out of area" on home phone and "Washington" on cell phone.  The man identified himself as from "Club Regina" on my home phone and as "Robert Siniese" (not sure of last name or spelling) also from Club Regina.  Club Regina is not in Seattle.  It is part of the Raintree Vacation Club Timeshares.  I almost fell for this since I had reservations in November at Club Regina Puerto Vallarta but they would not be calling me from Washington.  They would call me from Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta or Houston Texas--home office.  Don't know but would suspect it is some kind of timeshare scheme of which there are many.
