This number is one of two being used to scare you into believing the IRS is bringing a case against you and you need to call 917 267 8679. DO NOT! One reason its obvious its a scam is they also send the exact same bad quality voice recording  from a different state - Massachusettes- using number 617 292 7701.

Caller told me the IRS has sued out for me.  Left a number for me to call to complete this.

Twice in 1 day came up as "Unknown" but automated message left this # to call back.  Automated said IRS is filing suit, to call immediately.  I knew it was a scam but called.  A guy with a heavy arabic/indian accent said "Thank you for calling the IRS".  I said oh this is the IRS, I got a call saying you are filing suit against me and I'd like some info about that.  3-5 seconds of silence and he hung up.  I would just hate for someone who has no idea to get in a mess with this.  IRS should be able to shut this down.

The IRS has no jurisdiction in INDIA or Pakistan.  That is where most of these calls originate.

I just got the voicemail today and returned the call and when I questioned the validity of the information provided, the Indian guy hung up on me.  When I returned the call, I get a busy signal.....  I am reporting to the FBI for further review.
