Received a message on our answering machine while at work..."this is the IRS and we are filing a lawsuit against you. Call this number immediately. Glad I check online to find it was a scam. However, it did put a scare on you. I can see why elderly fall for this. BEWARE AND BE CAREFUL!

Had the same experience on Sept. 29 - left 3 messages on the same day indicating IRS was going to sue me. I knew if the IRS was going to contact me, it would be via mail.
