Got a phone call from this number. The caller left no message.

I was given an instruction thru whatsapp text to call this number related to Bank of America - it says "BOA service". Is it a valid phone number for Bank of America

Not if it came through Whatsapp.  That service is well known to be malicious.  Search for Whatsapp scams.   Look up the local BOA number on their official web site and call that, or call the number on the back of the card if that is what you have.  Never, ever call back the number they text you as it could be crooks looking to get your information from you.
