This number left a message purportedly from the IRS that a lien was being placed on me and to call back, giving a different number than this one.

They call me and told me that the irs was filing a suit against me that I have to pay or I go to jail

I got cal call from (206) 823-3340 and they left me a message to call back immediately so I did and they said they were calling from the IRS investigation dept. So I hung up as it seemed like a scam.

Voice mail saying IRS was filing a lawsuit against us. It is a fraud. You would get a letter from IRS. They would never call you.
My friend is a tax account and said this scam is widespread. She feels sorry for the elderly who are calling her upset.
