My husband, a couple of weeks ago, received several messages from a thick Indian accented woman, claiming my husband needed to call her back about a debt.  I went on this website and took the advice of you and others, not to call back.  Today, my husband received a call, from a different number, with a thick Indian accented man.  He said he was going to police officers come to our house or his work and yank him out, if he didn't call him back.  He recited the last 4 numbers of his SSN.  I was wondering if you have had this continue to happen to you.  The phone number is 508-499-7181.  This is really beginning to bother my husband and myself.  We checked the phone number on this site and it comes up no complaints.  We filed a complaint.  Let me know if this has happened to you, please.

received 4 calls today on my cell phone, didn't recognize # so i didn't answer. Man with a thick middle eastern accent said there was a lawsuit for my name and ssn#.

I got the same thing happening to me... when i called back, he had all my info and said i had taken a loan i never took.  I believe it to be a scam because the way they answered the phone was not professional.  It is a lie.. but this man had all my info... SSN# and everything... so he could screw us over but dont call back! try to get identity theft coverage!!!

I just received a phone call from someone stating their name is Lisa Smith  from that 2066299401 talking about I am 27 days past due for a loan and that they are threatening to take it to court...smh..people will do anything to make money. Gave a Fax# of 206-337-1314 to fax over documents such as, my cc#, address, and ID, along with a Promise to Pay letter...SHE TOO HAD THE INDIAN ACCENT

"John Smith" left a message on my work #.  Asking for someone else.  Threatening to sue.  Wished him good luck and god bless if he didnt call him back to get it situated. THICK INDIAN ACCENT!  Totally illegal in California to threaten "customer" with a debt collection.  I told my boss and he said he recieved a call from a company just like the ones who left the message on my machine, stating his SSN and bank account numbers.  He filed a police report because they threatened his life if he didn't pay his "outstanding balance".  The police got back to him and told him the number is calling from India and they are a fradulent company.  I suggest to get identity theft protection. CRAZINESS!
