Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

This person pretending to be the IRS agent is a scam just like everybody else I was call o d asked for money as we all know IRS sends out certified mail if you have a problem I hope this helps somebody else

Just got a call from an Indian accented alleged IRS employee who said I intentionally defrauded the gov for $95,000 and they were going to send officials to my home within 3 hours to arrest me.  I asked a bunch of questions, received no answers, and was treated rudely.  Once I got off the phone and googled the phone #, I was SHOCKED that soooo many are being targeted by this scam.  Am on hold right now with official IRS to report scam.  Wish I could come face to face with these jerks!!!!!

Phone Number Report: 9-5-2014 Got a call from 888-393-2449 with a man with a heavy accent (similar to the other postings) saying that they where calling from IRS. Said I needed to call them back because I owed taxes and I could be arrested. So I called back and talked with a Richard Hudson and a (Sean Johnson who left the original message similar accent) he asked for my name first and last and wanted the address which I would not give! He put me on hold to verify address came back and said for me to stay there, because agents where coming to arrest me within 3 hours and I would
Phone Number Report: Held for 48 hours! I asked for a ID number from him and he gave me #511545! I left the house and my roommate said they called back and didn't leave a message! I ask where he was calling from and he said Washington, D.C.

Yep, your caller 'Richard Hudson' and the person you made the very serious mistake of calling, back 'Sean Johnson', ARE with the IRS--Iindian [***] Scammers--IRS. NOW you can expect many more scam calls!
