I received a call from this number, hey asked my identification by name, I asked what the call was in regards to. They asked if I purchased an HDMI cord, I said yes, and I asked them why, then I became a little paranoid, they also had the information of some other big item purchases that I had made within the last half hour and he listed them all off, he asked me if my address was accurate, he gave it to me, didn't ask anything about my credit card, then told me it was to verify the order, I called my cc company, they said they ahd a fraud alert for the cord, the cs rep for my card said there didn't appear to be any suspicious activity, there was a 1$ charge for Prime, I'm assuming it is because I accepted the Prime trial and then canceled it right away. There was no request for personal information. But after reading the stuff on this site I got super paranoid. Now I feel a little better because I know my cc company has my back. plus I pretty much maxed out the one card so there isn't much room for fraud, happy holidays everyone. I'll follow up next Thursday after my last package is scheduled to arrive.

Received 2 calls today but did not picked them up. Lots of marketing calls for vacation travels. Don't ever even consider a vacation timeshare - I didn't sign up for 1 but was curious about what deals were available. After that, they have your contact info for life and will keep hounding you. These are supposed to be reputable brands like Hilton, Marriott etc - all the same, desperate marketers trying to meet their quotas and don't care about laws or decency.

Anyway... since I didn't pick up the phone, I have no idea if they were from Amazon - but I did buy 2 gift cards on Amazon yesterday. So... it is possible that it's Amazon calling to confirm the order - which was received fine without an issue.

But regardless, if you do pick up, ask them to confirm the details of your order and don't give out any personal information. It's easy to spoof phone numbers now and hence, still be vigilant and never give out any personal information over the phone. If you want to be sure, tell them you will contact Amazon yourself and confirm the order.

3 calls Tonight, I don't have an order pending. No fraudulent transactions pending either.

Just a few minutes after noticing several charges on my card that were not made by me, I received a call from this number. The person on the phone asked if I had authorized a $75.00 purchase to amazon. I told them no and they apologized and said they would reverse the charge. I called my bank and they canceled the card, but just a few days later another charge came through, this one for $98.97. Even though my card had been canceled the charge was approved before that had happened.

Follow up from previous post. It's been about a month now, I received all of my purchases from Amazon days after placing the order and getting the call. No extra charges on my card or suspicious activity to report.
