Recorded message claiming to be from the US Treasury about an outstanding arrest warrant for my arrest due to a problem with a tax return... I called them back because I was waiting for a response from the real IRS about a check I sent them for back taxes. He asked for my name. I asked if he was a federal employee, and he said yes, that he works for the US Treasury (IRS). I had to ask "Officer Steven Rogers" (with an unidentifiable accent) several times before he gave me his name. I then gave him my name, and he pretended to be looking something up. While he was "looking up my return", I looked up his number and see he's in Seattle, Washington, not Washington, DC. Yeah, now I'm wishing that I hadn't given my real name. When he came back on the line, he said that there was an issue with my tax return in a certain year but he guessed the wrong year. He asked me who submitted my return. I asked him why the IRS had not notified me in writing that there was an issue with my return and he hung up.
