I got a call today. A lady asked for some guy who I do not know. I think I have heard his name before but I do not recall for sure. Told her sorry wrong number and she did sound ok with that. What others have described has occurred to me as well.

I received a call tonight.  No voicemail.   I do not know the number nor anyone in Seattle, Washington.

Important matter regarding legal documents; will make one final attempt to contact you. If you have any questions you or your attorney can contact us at call back number...Yada yada, yada.

These are typically scam 3rd party debt collectors or 3rd party debt collectors acting in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act by illegally threatening legal action which they do not intend to take or cannot take due to statute of limitations or the fact that you do not owe anything.

They did the same here earlier today.

Some sort of a pre-recorded debt collection message.  Since I don't have any outstanding debts, it must be a scam.
