i was selling something on ebay and this guy emailed me saying he would buy it, send me a check and give me extra money. After reading the email, I didn't respond because I think it was a scam to get my private information. Here is the email:

Thanks for your mail.Am satisfied with the price and will love paying you through Certified Check and I will appreciate below needed information to issue the payment;
Your Full name to be written on check
Physical address with zip code
Cell or Land phone number(s) to contact you
As a matter of fact,I like to tell you to withdraw the advert from the list so that I can be assure am in hold of buying it because am seriously interested.Due to shipping and other pickup arrangement,a check of $2500 will be deliver to you by mail via UPS or FedEx,the payment will be made to your door step and I want you to deposit it and cash the money and deduct your money for the item plus extra $100 commission for your running around in cashing the check and send the remainder funds to the shipper via nearest Western union or  Money gram for the pickup.I will provide you the shipper's name and tracking number of the check when the payment moves by mail.You will not be responsible for the shipping because the shipper will come for the pickup after you cash the check and you receive your money in hands.I hope I can trust you when you receives the money in your hands?
