I got a phone call asking about my computer and saying they were with microsoft. When I told them I didn't have a computer they wanted to know if I had a laptop. I just hung up. Who is this person? I feel like this is a scam.

I got the same call and when I said this sounds like a scam the man said "listen dumb [***]..."

I got the same call, they said they were from Mircosoft and they had been receiving many (hundreds?) of error messages and something about a virus (bad reception, not sure what they said) and so Mircosoft is running very slow. I have a virus scanner that has never reported problems. As far as I am concerned, my applications are running just fine. I thanked them and said I would have to delete the error messages from my computer so it would run faster and hung up. I believe it is a scam of some type.

I got the call today, 1/27. Microsoft -- error messages. I am sure he wanted me to grant him remote access so he could get into my computer. Told him I wasn't interested. Had an accent--not sure if it was hispanic or other.

I just had 3 missed calls from this number, glad I didn't answer.
