Got a call from these intrusive clowns and hung up on them. The gov. is offering a $50,000 prize if someone finds a way to stop these calls. I heard that most of the calls are from Telecom and they get the list from the DNC site. Telecom gets paid for every robo call that comes from their site. Why should we be punished!

In their message they meant to be: General Electric Security Systems, which I doubt they are, because in the caller ID didn't appear any name, which is not worthy of a respected company as GE. I suspect of Level 3 Communications fron Seattle, WA. This company have been called the las year from different phone numbers but their code area is 206. They also appear as Pacifictel, Political Opinion Survey, and many other offering lower interest rates, credit card services, Americas survey, Amerivan Survey, and others. For me the wise move is not answer, and don't call them back, and of course, block them.

Chalk another up to caller ID and 800notes. The number without the dashes is what showed up on caller ID. We actually know someone who lives about 150 miles from Edmonton.
The DNC list we signed up for years ago is a distant memory....Caller ID works much better to screen.

Just got same call; also in Ct.  As soon as my ans machine picks it up the call drops.  I grow tired [serious understatement!!!] of being called when I have chosen [dnc list] not to have my phone used for commercial solicitation.
