robot call. "don't hang up.  You home has been selected for a General Electric alarm system"  I hung up and blocked the number .  Enough of these scammer already.

this call was inre "life insurance" called it back, told them i was reporting the dnc violation. got a hang up call this morning, then this later. they said my # was posted on the internet. i told them to check the public service commission website that i was pretty sure i was listed there for my MANY complaints and my successful lawsuits.... just hoping they will call back...like a spider waits for a fly.

Received an automated call which also started out with "do not hang up;" I stayed on the line, as there is usually a number you can press at the end of the call to not be called back again. I pressed "1" to speak with someone and told her that I am on a do not call list and this call had nothing to do with medical or financial (etc) information, so why the phone call. Her response, "I'll tell you why you are getting a call from us; someone put your number on line and once that happens, it is fair game." I told her again that I am on a do not call list as she abruptly ended with "have a nice day" and hung up.

Number blocked. Problem solved.

Hang ups from this number and 260-969-9387. Both are for free home security systems.
Both have called my house line before.
