This number called saying they wanted to give me a 8000 dollar grant ...and that he was with the federal government ..sounds a bit fishy to me

IRS telephone scam. Don't call them back they are fishing. You can google IRS telephone scams. IRS will always notify you by mail

Got 2 voicemail messages stating "The IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. ". I was then instructed to call this number for more information. I didn't call because I'm a CPA and I know the IRS would notify me by mail if there was an issue.
