I answered by saying "WHAT?????" and they hung up without saying anything.

Not sure who this is they said debt collector but it's a scam

Called again 3 days after the first call.  Asked for me by name, although pronounced my name weird (and it's not a hard name to pronounce).  Asked if I was aware that law SWEETS (yes, she said sweets instead of suits) had been settled against CERTAIN banks (not naming any by name) and I could have my interest rates lowered.  I told her I was aware she should not be calling me at dinner time.  She said she had no way of knowing it was dinner time.  I told her since she was a telemarketer she was not supposed to be calling me in the first place.  She told me to go back to my dinner and hung up.

Third time they've called me in a week!  This time I said HELLO in my sweetest (fake!) voice, hoping to actually speak with someone to end this nonsense once and for all.  After a few moments of silence, the line went dead.

FOURTH time this number has called me.  This time, woke me from a sound sleep.  She says "last time I called you were in the middle of dinner, so I'm calling you at a better time".  Are you freaking kidding me?  I told her "and what did I tell you after that???? I told you you are a telemarketer and have no business calling me at all!"  She said "I don't recall that:"  I told her this was the fourth time they've called in 8 days and I was reporting them.  She said "I do apologize".  Yeah, whatever.
