They pose as the IRS and provide fake badge IDs. They state there was a miscalculation in your reporting and that you owe money.

Same thing, posed as IRS. When I asked how I knew this was the IRS they hung up.

They left a voice mail, said from the IRS, and that this was our final notice that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against us. Good thing I looked this number up. Still waiting on hold for the IRS. Thank you!
