called said they are from the IRS and an arrest warrant has been issued for fraud on IRS , called my sheriff dept and they said this is an ongoing thing all over just block the callers number with you phone company

This tel. no. left a robovoice message on our answering machine, saying 'This is the IRS which is filing a lawsuit against you', etc., advising us to call them back at that number for 'case file details'.  Most everyone knows by now that this is a scam intending to perpetuate fraud upon gullible, vulnerable people who answer their phones and do not verify the authenticity of the caller.  I have filed complaints with both the FTC and TIGTA; however, by the time others are reading this post, the thieves may be using other tel. numbers to harass innocent people.

They are still at it.   Interesting is that I got the message on Sprint Voice mail without actually getting an  incoming call.

Received the same call
