Has anyone else gotten a call from this number stating they are from the IRS?

Yes, I did.  A heavily accented voice tried to tell me that I owe 4 thousand and some dollars.  Threats of liens on my house, paycheck, social security and criminal prosecution were made.  I asked for a supervisor and was put on hold for a few minutes so I hung up.  Call came in at 11:36am EDT on 8/26/15.

This is a total scam. They are not legit, hung up on me when I started to record the call. I am reporting to police.

Don't understand.  What's the point of their doing this?

They are hoping to find someone they can scare into  sending them money,  They are LIARS and THIEVES.
