Got a call from this number  at 10 am today from "Star heating and air conditioning" . Called me by my mothers name who passed away several years ago. [I live in the same house.]Let him talk anyway for see what scam he was perpetrating.He said we needed our furnace serviced and ducts cleaned and they would be here tomorrow. Knew the address so must be using an old phone book. Told him we had never used that company and do not call me again and hung up.

Get calls about 2-3 times/week once every couple of months. Never answer. Sometimes shows up as "air duct cleanin" but most of the time as "Name Unavailable". Agree that the only cleaning they will ever do is to my wallet/bank account! ;-) These are all "spoofed" numbers folks - if you have any background in telecommunications, you'd recognized the 000 is not a valid prefix for any phone number anywhere in North America, so that is a tip-off it's a rip-off.

I received a call today.  Caller, "I am calling to remind you of our appointment to service your furnace." I just moved & knew I didn't have an appointment to service my furnace.  After telling the caller he said, "You have a very lovely voice today," in a seductive voice.  I said, Excuse me?  He repeated himself.  I asked what company her represented.  Then, terminated the connection. One of two conclusions: poorly trained telemarketer, creepy sex offender?  Regardless ladies, don't make an appointment to let an unknown into your house to "service you furnace." Very creepy.

This phone number call me couple times a day in the last 30 days, I asked them don't call me, leave me alone, that is not working, please tell me what should I do. Thanks.

Call blocker might be of some help.  Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd.  Or where there is no caller ID.
