We're getting the same calls, as well.  So - we called the phone carrier that handles the Birmingham AL area (US LEC of Alabama Inc.: Phone 205-313-1000) and they are aware of this number, but there's not much they can do because this number is associated w/ a telemarketing firm that uses a modem pool system that randomly makes the calls. Hence, the reason why you get the disconnect message when you return the call.  Your best bet is to just block the number.

Caller from this number is unknown.  Did not leave message on answering machine.  Caller ID shows:  POA Georgia and 205-776-6010.  I believe this is a repeat of annoying calls made to my home 2-3 years previous.  I have subscribed to Do Not Call Registry, however, some unethical companies or individuals have found a way of circumventing the Registry.  Area code 205 is in Birmingham/Tuscaloosa, Alabama, not in Georgia.  Wish you could trace the caller(s) and have them prosecuted.

I receive a call daily from 1-205-776-6010 and they don't say anything when the phone is answered.  They never leave a message on the voicemail.  This is very annoying.  I suggest you black the number or just don't answer.  I am going to report this to the phone company

Received a call from 205-776-6010. They did not want to leave a message. They just asked for me by first name. I tried calling the number back but I received an automated message saying that "I had called a number that has been disconnected or no longer in service".

POA Georgia called my home on a Sunday and asked for me by name.  My roommate told the man that I was unavailable. The man became rude and hung up.

I get a call from 205-776-6011 everyday and the guy asked for me by my first and last name.  I said "yes, and how did you get this number since it's unlisted?"  The man was suddenly rude and said "Well, I don't have to talk to you." and then hung up.  I'm having the same problem when I call back, I get a message that says number has been disconnected.  It has to be a scam or something.
