Got a text from them and called back to tell them I didnt have an account with BBVA Compass only to find it was a scam. I made up a card #, pin and exp date and it said it had been reactivated. I think it just does that to get you to enter your info so they can get it and use it. Im not sure but its a fraud and dont give them your cc#, Compass has an 800#.

Received a fraudulent text message from this number claiming to be from BBVA Compass Bank and saying that XXXXX # ATM debit card had been disabled and to reactivate call this number.

I got one also but it was from a 3212755695

Received a text message from 256-655-6021 (which, btw, was a mobile phone number) that stated "BBVA COMPASS ALERT: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please call 256-585-6388."  First off, I do not nor have I ever had a BBVA Compass account or card. Secondly, when I did call the number, it wanted me to enter the 16-digit card number. So I tried calling the number that the text came in from....only to receive a recording that that number had either been disconnected or was otherwise not available...or something to that effect. So I just replied back to the text message that I was reporting them. I think it's really sad because an elderly person might get one of these phone calls or text messages and fall prey to this scheme.

I just got the same exact text a while ago. I texted back  Scam Alert: Turn yourself in! I am calling the police! 911. I reported them also. Hope they like the FBI.
