ps What's interesting about this is that I had just texted a friend of mine in Clanton, and that's where this caller originates. Are they somehow able to tap into her line or pick up my cell signal and know where I just called? I thought that was rather a strange timing to be coincidence.

Trying to sell a home security system. Calls often. Doesn't understand "no" or "do not call list".

Caller hung up.  Called back and got a recorded message that their representatives were busy and that I would be called back within 24 hours.
