Message left on my voice mail from a John Taylor from the above number stating who he was looking for and at the "end of message leaves a case # and states "You have been officially served" that was at 9:55a.m. and then at 1:55pm John Taylor calls back and leaves same message.  How many times can a person be legally served by the same person/company. The bad thing is that person does not live here. John Taylor calls from a local number but the call back number is 1-866-247-4945 from Global.

Typical scammer calling.  You cannot be "officially served" via email, text or voicemail - you can only be served via court process server or certified or registered mail.  So now you know that it's a scammer calling, report the calls to the FTC, FBI, Dept of Justice and your state's Attorney General.   If you keep getting calls, you can advise the caller that you're recording all calls they make for multiple violations of the TCPA and the FDCPA (since you're not the alleged debtor they're looking for).  Any caller who refuses to MAIL proof that you owe them a debt is owed nothing, per the FDCPA.

message left on my voice mail from a Rick from the above number stating who he was looking for and at the end of the message leaves a case number and a meesage.  Has also called relatives demanding they get in touch with me.  He leaves 1-866-741-3225 from Global as the return number to call. Has left another message stating I have been served and this is my final notice before they serve me at my home and place of employment.
