Sounds like the old, old CL scam to me.  Bill, did you know I am psychic?  I know the actual value of that check you will be getting..  $0.00 US Dollars and that works out to..... hold on..... wow!  0.00 $ Canadian!  How about that?  Next step is some untraceable scammer is disappearing with your car part.   In the Bonus Round, the scammer overpays you and and asks you to send the difference back to him via Western Union, and ship that part ASAP, don't worry about that check, It's written in crayon and looks like it was cut from a magazine, but that is standard for the USA.    Take care, and look for local buyers who have actual cash in hand.

Had the same message from same number, but with a twist, check they sent me actually cleared and the money is now in my account
