Sunday around 2:30. 2 calls and hang-ups!

First of all people should try to ignore unfamiliar numbers whenever possible. Answering the calls will most likely lead to more of them.

Secondly, I would rather have a telemaggoter end a call before the answering system picks up than to be stuck with a message.

WHAT IS A TELEMOGGATER?  IVE SEARCHED FOR A DEFINITION AND THERE IS NOT ONE FOUND ON ALL OF THE SEARCH ENGINES IVE TRIED.  A DEFINITION FROM YOU WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL AND APPRECIATED!

I'm not MidNYteStorm, but I think I know what he means.  I think "telemaggoter" is a word he nvented for his post.  Its a combination of "telemarketer" and "maggot".  A maggot is a baby fly.  It lives in and feeds on rotting organic material, typically manure or dead wild animals.  A telemarketer calls people trying to convince them to buy stuff they don't want or donate to charities they don't support.

Telemaggotor - it doesn't appear in a dictionary but its a good description of some of the thieves and scammers we discuss on this board.

Actually, it may be a useful entry to the Urban Dictionary.  That's a site where contemporary phrases which are not necessarily used in Merriam-Webster can be registered for reference.  I think MidNYteStorm has coined a very appropriate name for the kind of people we discuss here.
