Received a call from this number tonight at 7:52 PM EST. A man with a thick Indian accent, claiming to be from Windows tech support, "informed" me that my computer had been compromised by cyber hackers and that they were receiving security notices from my computer. I knew it was a scam right away, so I decided to have some fun with they guy. I listened, asked questions, and followed his directions right up until he asked me to start the steps for remote access of my PC. Then I asked him to give me the make, model, and service tag of my laptop since he claimed to be a representative of Windows. Upon questioning him, the man became hostile. I told him to add him to his do-not-call list, and he began threatening to call the police and the FBI if I hung up. Then he promised he would call me back on the same number if I didn't cooperate. I told him I hoped he had a nice day and hung up. Pretty funny experience, but totally a scam. Beware!!!

So I have had these people calling my phone repeatedly and can't get them to stop.  I had one long argument with a guy who said he was from windows.  I said, you mean Microsoft? and he just repeated that he was with windows.  He didn't understand that I have a Mac and don't run windows and that there was no reason for me to talk to anyone from Microsoft.  Now they call me twice a day and I can't get them to stop.  BTW, how is that a phone number? it only has 9 digits....

JUST CALLED AGAIN! 5:OO pm est

I googled it thinking it was someone punk calling me and apparently its common. I have a  thing where i stay silent then only say hello if they do too i picked up waited they hung up and just called me. When i tried to call it back my provider said invalid.
