Thank you Governor Malloy for opening the door for every Electric Company scam artist to call CT residents and try to scam them into switching Electric Suppliers.  If you legitimately want to switch, do the research and switch yourself before the State of CT and Governor Malloy sell you to one of these predators.

I worked very briefly for an electric supply company whose sales reps would call almost 100 people per day trying to get them to switch suppliers.  They didn't have any sort of mailing list or lead sheet, they simply picked up the phone book and start making calls.  They did not keep track of who they called or when they call them, which is why you will get the same call from the same place over and over again.  The goal was to get someone to say yes.  And even if you did switch, that did not mean the calls stopped...they had no way to track who they called or when, who was already a customer or who was simply not interested.
