caller id "Stamford Ct". No message left.

I stopped what I was doing to take the call.
I said 'hello" twice, but no answer, and then it clicked off.
From reading above calls, they have called my home before with a recorded message about pain cream approved by FDA and asking me to press a number to be connected to someone to get my free sample of pain cream.
There should be some way to technically stop these robo calls as most of them are related to some sort of intention to
cause someone harm with identity theft or other types of theft.

From what I'm reading, it's a B.S. $cam about a pain cream...well these $pammers give ME a pain buggin' me! 1st time for this 1! # was on the top & bottom. This was on 10/17/14 @ 12:22 PM CT. Back to * 60 to block this. GRR!

Folks as much as many like to blame the government, the DNCL only applies to legitimate companies, not SCAMMERS.  For the FCC it's a game of whack-a-mole because these scammers move their boiler rooms from town to town, spoof numbers, and are basically criminals that should be tracked down by the FBI.  You want to stop being bothered, demand that your political representatives enact laws that allow the FCC to regulate the phone companies that let these scammers use their numbers, lines, systems!!!  Stop blaming the DNCL, it wasn't made for scammers it was made to keep legitimate companies from harassing you.  Now got write your representatives and vote, or don't complain.
