I recieved a phone call from a woman with a foreign accent stating that she was from the Internal Revenue Service. With all suspicious calls, I attempted to get her to verify either the county or the zip code of the city she was from and she refused and began to make threats of arrest. I asked what charges the arrest would be under and she could not answer the question but continued to speak in a hostile manner. When I asked her to let me speak to her supervisor, she refused and eventually hung up.
Several call backs later, all to the same foreign voice, she finally let me speak to her "supervisor" who is also with a foreign accent. He stated that he personally was going to come from Connecticut to my home (about 800 miles away) to 'arrest' me, but again refused to state what the charges were. Finally, he started to tell me that I had "errors" on my tax forms, of which he refused to tell me what they were, and further stated that using Turbo Tax was "illegal" without a proper degree in taxes. When I asked him how such a public tax software could be "illegal", he became verbally threatening again about "arrest" and handed the phone back to the original woman on the phone who put the phone on mute and left it running without saying anything for several minutes.
Several call backs since, they have refused to speak to me. All of this was recorded audibly on my computer for proof of the scam operation, threats, and FCC violations.
