These are dope pushers with fake telephone numbers. The drugs they push are no doubt as fake as their telephone number. With a little investigative work, it turns out the "real" phone number (today) for this (202) number is: (516) 274-1799. When I called back some low life with "terrorist accent" answered and told me I can get a good deal on drugs.... drugs that require a prescription in the real world. Half the time these "people" call with a "New York" telephone number. The other half the time it shows as a "Washington, D.C." phone number. I suspect they are really from "The Subcontinent." You can block the number but since they obviously are using web based telephone numbers, there are nearly an inexhaustible reservoir of phony phone number they can call you from. I have two dozen of these numbers "blocked" on my phone but they still manage to call (from yet a different number) once or twice a week. Same sound to the voice. Indian or Pakistani most likely. Could be calling from east Canada as well. Always from fake telephone numbers. I suppose I could order some drugs and turn them over to the DEA for violating the controlled substance acts, but more than likely the DEA would arrest me instead of the dope pushers. Instead, I use nasty vulgar, and abusive language and hang up.
