Received a call from a person who was from the IRS and if I did not pay a bill that he was authorized to freeze mybank account.

Callers are located in India and Pakistan. They spoof local numbers and love to use area code 202. Block the entire area code. Federal authorities occasionally arrest US based money mules, but that's about it. US can't do anything and the local governments do little.

IRS phone scam. Left computerized voice mail (text to speech synthesis). Left message saying IRS was opening a lawsuit against me & to call back on the same number. IRS sends a letter. They NEVER call.

Keep getting calls from these clowns. My caller ID on my phone stopped working so I have to answer every call. The IRS NEVER calls, if they want to contact you they will mail a letter or send an agent by if they are going to arrest you and that would be in an extreme case of suspected fraud. These calls are from out of the country and unfortunately the government cannot touch them or they would be shut down.
