Unwanted call trying to get money from me that is not accurate.

These [***] called me this morning and asked for someone with my same first name but not my last name nor any last name I've ever used. I told the lady that there's no one at this number by that name and she proceeded to go on and tell me that she would call back later and leave a message because this was a valid number associated with this person. I told her "MA'AM, I've had this number since December 1999. There has never been anyone associated with this number by that name." End of conversation. Clearly they are just fishing in the dark. I've gotten a lot of these calls lately and as much as I hate to consider it, I think after almost 15 years I will be changing my number.

Received a call from Dynamic Recovery today asking for $956 dollars for an overdue payment on a Chase Credit card from 2002. I explained that I never had such a card but she did have my last 4 numbers of my SS and my current address. She also stated that she had sent letters to me (which I never received). When I asked her to send it again or email me she said that wasn't up to her. Then she offered me a deal in which I'd only have to pay the first $500 or some such amount.
