If someone has further information on these people please send it to danielle.berry2@everest.edu. They just called me saying I owe $1500.00 and that if i had to go to court they would charge me another $2500. I just put a fraud alert on my social security number and I am going to put a lock on my credit. Smh these people are ridiculous

How do I put a Fraud alert on my Social Security Number?

I called all three credit bureau's and spoke with a customer representative about fraud alert. It was simple, so all you do is ask them to put a free 90 day fraud alert on your credit and when the 90 days are up you could repeat it for another 90 days, so on and so on. It is all free. The great thing about it is that the credit you apply for, or a car loan, or whatever it is; that bank, or finance person will call you to make sure it is you that is applying for the credit, or loan. It works, but it won't stop the fraud calls unless you block them. I don't know the number, but ask whom you talk to for that number. The credit bureau's would know. If anyone ask you, why you have this fraud alert when they run your credit just tell them you don't want to be a victim of Identity Theft.

I received the same call today, they call anonymous, but leave the phone number of 202-803-5785. Also told me I did some sort of bank or check fraud, and I need to call them by the end of the day to avoid the feds. Same exact message as everyone else it seems.  I use creditkarma . com   and it seems to be pretty accurate with giving alerts, etc...  and it's free. This call kind of scared me because I used to have bad credit, but I would never write bad checks, or do any scaming. Thanks for the info here.
