Received a call from a no caller ID, saying they were from the federal government from Washington, D.C. They said my name and number was randomly selected to receive a $9,000 grant that I don't have to pay back. When I asked them who they were they kept saying the federal government, from Washington. No branch name or anything. When I asked about a number to call back, they gave me this number: 202-780-9682
With a confirmation number to tell them when i called back.
Looking the number up claims it is from Columbia.
Asking what department they couldn't answer that an got upset when I said this sounded like a scam and hung up on me.

Got a call, said no caller id, but have gotten those before. I answered to see if I could get some information to block it.
They said they were the Federal Government calling to report I was randomly selected to receive a grant.
Their English was bad. When I asked who they were and how they got my information, all they told me was they are the Federal Government from Washington DC. I asked for a phone number and it wasn't US.
I said that didn't sound real, can they provide more information and they said they'd transfer me to a supervisor. They kept saying they needed more information so they can give me this money that I don't have to pay back.
When I said this sounded like a scam they hung up.

I've had this happen. I called my phone company to see if I could do something against scammers and they gave me this number: 1-888-382-1222
Which registers your phone to make it so telemarketers and solicitors can't call your number without being filed for a complaint. You can also block numbers on this too.

I called number back and they wanted more information so I said I was going to talk to a friend of mine who is a state police officer and then he called me a f---king [***] scum etc on and on.  I hung up
