Just got the call AGAIN (2nd time). Did not answer this time.  No message left .. just a hang up.  Received 1/16/10 1:24 PM CST.

Several calls from this number in the last two weeks, none overly early or late in the day.  Did not answer.

Something is clearly going on ... but lets use logic for a minute ... whether you are Dem or Rep. Someone calls, usually they hang up without speaking and if they do speak it is only to say they are exempt ...

If it were a Rep (same with Dem) organization, wouldn't they have some sort of message to deliver? Since they are only annoying, doesn't that sound like a group that is just trying to cause trouble?

Because I worked in a call center environment, I know that there are ways to mask/change both the phone number and the name that appears on as the company when you make calls. It is not lawful, but it is possible to do. So, it sounds like this is what is being done to me. Because they use the RNC as their identifier and all they are doing is annoying people, logic suggests that it is a person/group that wants people to be angry with the RNC ... if they were using DNC, I would say exactly the same thing.

I have also been getting these calls and I answer them and try to speak to someone, but nobody answers ... so this is my take on the matter.

AFTER MANY CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER I TRACED THE CALL TO THE WAH HOUSE IN WASHINGTON, D.C.. THIS IS A SECTION EIGHT HOUSING PROJECT MOSTLY FOR PEOPLE AND BUSINESSES FROM CHINA.  HAVE NO IDEA WHY THEY ARE CALLING BUT THEY ARE NOT FROM THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION.

call them back and have your # removed from their list if they call you back file a complaint with the FCC on their web site
