They keep claiming they are from the government and have grant money to send me all I have to do is send them 250 and I would get 9000 plus the 250 back doesn't make sense

I just got this call and to think I almost fell for the [***]. Smh I'm glad I called and told my parents about this [***]. & I cursed them tf out !

Hahaha this is a big scam! When I told him that I wasn't giving them any money for a security deposit he took me to kiss his [***] [***]. Lmfao!

Claims:
1. Claiming they are from the government.
2. Claiming to be senior accountant Jeff Newman, Jamie Walder, or Jason Davis from the US treasury. (I kept calling back then i got bored)
3. Claiming they have $9000 grant money, from taxes I've paid,  to send me and it is not a scam.  They also had my first and last name and my last address :/ and all I have to do is go to Western Union and make a one time security deposit of $180. Then he would give me the WU tracking number and I would get $9k plus the $180 (what?). I asked why I needed an ID, he said to make sure I am who I say I am (lol huh?). Then I asked how he would make sure of that if he's not the one at WU, he said Western Union requires an ID. I said okay, I'll just let him speak to them when I get there to verify I am who I am (and to not have to pay the deposit), he said no WU is privately owned and doesn't know anything about this money and if they did they would charge me taxes on it...what? But you're the government.

Oh! He also gave me 2 other options: direct account deposit, deposit into "plastic card"
