They called my mother in law saying she was going to recieve a government grant for $8500 but wanted a $260 deposit to receive the grant. She asked them if they could send her more information and they started yelling at her. When she said it sounded like a scam they really got offended. We found out that they want you to call them when you go to a money gram so they can tell you how to "get your grant money". They told her to go to the money gram store with her picture id and the deposit in cash. It's such a scam and they had all of her information which is what made her think maybe it was real because she had applied for grants in the past.
