I've been getting telemarketing texts from this number.  I didn't sign up for anything, so I don't know where it came from.  I wish I knew how to get them to stop--I don't want to reply, because it would "verify" me as a working number for them, just as for a spam e-mail.  Here's what today's text said:

Fwd:Happy New Year! Wanted u to know that u have been pre-qualified to get a payday loan up to $1500 NOW! No credit check req'd. www.CHKadvance.com (reply-stop)

Just received the same spam SMS message. ARgh

Your cell phone carrier may have blocked calls enabled.  Blocked numbers actually.  Log on to your account, search for block calls, and type it in.  It should block texts.  I'm doing it right after I send this to you.

Same to me.   Happy New Year! Wanted U to know that u have been pre-qualified... blah, blah blah. get a loan for $1500,no credit check. Telemarketer I guess.     Make ,em stop

They have sent me the same message as the people above me have said.
