I have been called by this same number as all of you here - multiple times - but I usually just tell them I'm not interested and hang up.  Today I decided to see what they really wanted.  Long story short - after I received all the information so I could call to collect my $ I did an online search with the number that was used.  I found this site.  Although I doubt there is anything that can be done to stop the callers - I'm really glad there are forums like this one that warn people of these scams.
