I received a message that I was selected by the U.S. government to save $5500 .  I feel from the foreign accent that it's a scam.  The above is my e-mail address and would like to give our paper a heads up if it is.

I received a call today from the same # 202-657-4644.  The male foreigner identified himself as Justin Davis from the U. S. Department of Government claiming my family and I were selected to receive $5,000, and to spend it wisely.  When I asked him for his name and number to call and verify this is real, he hung up on me.  I made a report of same.

I received a call from this number for the first time today and when I asked was it legitimate he sounded like he got upset and kept insisting on my card number. I feel that this is a scam considering I am the government and I haven't heard anything about it.

The guy had my phone number and birth date, Social Security number and home address, and yes he was from IRS, not the real IRS, and when I called him a scammer he hung up.
