Stating that I owe 2000 dollars

I just got a call from this number and they said I was being charged with tax fraud and be prepared to be arrested..... the guy didn't even sound American and my safety team here at CRST Said it was a scam going around cause the IRS doesn't send emails texts or calls they send paper work first then you call and that starts the ball rolling so if you get a call from this number report it to the FBI immediately do not give them money after you hear them ask for money hang the phone up

I received a call this morning from this number. The person claimed that they were with the IRS and that I owed over $2000 in tax fraud. He knew my name and address. What made me decide it was a scam was that he was threatening me with law enforcement and jail time, he was requesting payment over the phone and asking me how much I could pay, and when I told him I would call the IRS directly and make sure everything was true, he told me I was in for the worst nightmare of my life and hung up. Don't listen to these clowns, and don't let them intimidate you out of your hard-earned money. The real IRS doesn't work like that, and the Fed needs to go to war on these frauds. I called the FBI on their a**es AND filed an FTC report. In the meanwhile, protect yourselves, fellow Americans.
