Said they work for for government and I been approved for a grant of 7 thousand but I have to send 150$ to legalize something before they send the money

Total scam.  There is no grant.  These are scammers from India.

I have been getting weird calls for the past few days, I got one saying it was for medical compensation ( I never applied for any compensation) Then I got a call saying that I will receive $7000 in grant money but they wanted me to buy a green dot card and put $175 on the card, I just yessed them to death but I can not afford to lose that amount of money.
The last call was from 202-559-7944 be careful!!!! Don't spend $ to get NOTHING!!

I got the same call but he said he needed my bank account number to deposit the $7000. I called our local media and the attorney general in NY.

This is a scam and I reported it to my local news media and NYS Attorney General. These people are scum they prey on the old or uneducated that think they're going to get money from the government.
