They called my unlisted landline number at 3:27 PM PDT on 22 July 2016. The caller ID said "Out of Area". I did not answer. They left a long message (see below). My phone numbers are on the Do Not Call list. There is no Call Type for "Fraud" or "Swindle", so I called it "Debt Collector". I will report it to donotcall.gov.
Here is a transcript of the message, which was delivered using a computerized woman's voice. The first part of the message is missing because the computerized call did not wait for the answering machine's outbound greeting:
"... jury intending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be your intentional second attempt to avoid being issued an appearance before the magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offence. My number is 202-558-2294. I repeat it's 202-558-2294. I advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. Thank you. Goodbye." (Various tones and beeps, then disconnect.)
