Received a call from unknown caller.  Did not answer since I did not know number. No message just a hangup.

I answered it in my office. They were taking a survey about how the Democratic Party was handling our national debt. In return for answering, they offer you a cruise to the Bahamas. It seemed like one of those surveys you see on TV that makes you say "well nobody ever asked me my opinion". I answered the 3 questions on their 1-5 scale 1 being bad and 5 being good. Then I waited to be connected to the travel agent, which they did. I then politely asked them who funded the survey? They declined to answer. So I respectfully requested that wherever this money came from in the Democratic Party to please be given back to support a more productive cause. I cannot believe I just witnessed the Democratic Party buying votes, but that is essentially what just happened. And people wonder why the nation is broke?! I will go to the Bahamas when I can afford it myself, thank you. Handouts are killing the independent thinkers in this country with bribes for votes in many forms. And now even an attempt made in my office. Im kinda disgusted.

It's not really a political survey at all; they just use that as a cover story because surveys are exempt from the Do Not Call list.  Do you really think anybody's going to give you a free cruise just because you answered three questions?  The scammers are actually selling timeshare vacations.  The 2-day cruise on an old leaky boat is just a way to get a captive audience for their sales pitch.

I got the same call & message left on my answering machine today (11-16-2011) the part that really caught my attention is that "gratuity & a small port tax will apply" .........scam!!!!
the national no call list is a total BS. I don't sign up for it no longer. I just use the free software "phone tray free" to cut those calls off. period!!!

I believe this has nothing to do with the Democratic Party. I believe it could Be the Republican Party trying to see where they stand... In any case it could have Nothing to do with either Party and could be a scam used by a travel business to book more cruises... Do not Blame either Party without knowing the full story. There are so many people disgusted that many other sources could be using the political angle... A SCAM is a SCAM...
